Cookie Policy

This page explains the current cookie and local storage behavior of Word Counter.

Current storage

Word Counter does not currently set app cookies. The index page stores the analytics consent choice in localStorage under quickbitsAnalyticsConsentV1. The stored value is allowed or declined and is scoped to the current site origin.

Cookie settings

Open Word Counter and use the Analytics settings button in the footer to allow or decline Cloudflare Web Analytics at any time. No analytics measurement takes place before explicit consent. After Allow analytics, the index page loads the cookieless Cloudflare beacon for aggregate page-view and performance measurement. This legal page does not load the beacon.

Analytics and planned AdSense

Cloudflare Web Analytics is consent-gated for index pages on quickbits.tools. It does not receive tool inputs or generated outputs from QuickBits custom events because no custom events are sent. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are not used. Prepared ad placeholders do not load live ad scripts in normal page views. The analytics choice does not constitute consent to advertising; a separate Google-certified CMP and updated provider disclosures are required before AdSense or other Google advertising tags are activated.

Changes

If AdSense, cookies, additional tracking, CMP scripts, or consent-gated browser storage are added later, the cookie notices, cookie settings UI, and policy disclosures must be updated before activation.
